Jacquie is the Founder and Executive Director of HER Victory. Guided by both business acumen and profound compassion, Jacquie brings over two decades of experience in strategic business development, investment and commercial property management, and entrepreneurship to her leadership. Her ability to bridge disciplined operational strategy with a deeply human mission has been instrumental in shaping HER Victory into a trusted community anchor for those facing exploitation or human trafficking.
Jacquie’s journey toward founding HER Victory began with an unshakable conviction that no woman should be defined by her past or trapped by circumstance. Starting with boots on the ground on Calgary’s last known prostitution stroll, serving food and connection and taking time to really hear women’s stories, Jacquie’s vision and unparalleled leadership have transformed HER Victory into a thriving nonprofit that provides practical outreach, holistic support, and pathways toward dignity, hope and a bright future for countless women. Her leadership reflects both courage and clarity: the courage to confront systemic injustice and the clarity to build a sustainable, accountable organization that creates measurable change.
With an entrepreneurial spirit and an unwavering belief in restoration, Jacquie has cultivated a team culture grounded in dignity, empowerment, and genuine care. She leads not only with strategic foresight but also with a heart that listens, ensuring HER Victory remains a place where every woman feels seen, valued, and capable of new beginnings. With over ten years of frontline, practical experience, Jacquie’s professional insight has garnered respect and attention from both lawmakers and industry partners alike, while her personal conviction ensures the mission remains deeply rooted in compassion and integrity.
Today, under Jacquie’s leadership, HER Victory stands as a beacon of hope and a model of what’s possible when faith and action meet. Her commitment continues to inspire others — community partners, volunteers, and the women themselves — to believe that freedom is attainable, healing is possible, and victory is within reach.
Founder & Executive Director
Katiera
Director of Outreach, Registered Social Worker
Katiera was born in Saskatchewan but was raised and has lived in Southeast Asia most of her life, experiencing diverse cultures, speaking other languages, and walking alongside those in at-risk situations. At a young age, she was exposed to the vulnerabilities and realities of human trafficking. This ignited a passion for advocating for and championing those who are vulnerable.
With a heart to advocate and see more individuals walk in freedom, she travelled across Europe supporting those exploited in refugee camps, trafficked within gangs, and working alongside the UN advocating for those trapped in sex trafficking. Committed to seeing systemic change and awareness, Katiera moved to Canada and got her Social Work degree in 2021. Since then, she has immersed herself within Calgary’s social community, facilitating outreach programs to support those caught in cycles of addiction and exploitation. Katiera is passionate about walking alongside individuals wherever they are at, with a heart to see holistic healing and transformation.
Livia
For the past eight years, Livia’s passion has been to see lives transformed and individuals freed from abuse and exploitation. “Jesus continues to lay out a pathway that pushes me to trust in Him more, learn from survivors, and witness lives change in both small and profound ways."
Livia has had the opportunity to volunteer overseas with anti-trafficking organizations, complete her Bachelor of Child & Youth Counseling, and work in the domestic violence sector for the last few years.
Livia's ambition is to continue to walk alongside more individuals as they become ready to do the hard work of processing trauma and discovering the fulfilling and purposeful life that lies ahead for each of them.

Karen
Karen is a Christian personal trainer whose viewpoint on health and wellness is grounded in biblical principles. Karen uses her own experience of recovery to help others. Her passion is to make a difference in people’s lives. The skills required as a trainer, such as patience, empathy and understanding, are skills that enable Karen to communicate and develop trusting relationships with the clients at HER Victory. Karen is prepared to advocate, equip them with the resources they need, and encourage them to live healthy, flourishing lives.
“I meet the clients exactly where they are at. I have heard many stories of clients being forgotten and abandoned. My goal at HER Victory is for the clients to be loved and cared for. I am passionate about the mission at HER Victory. This experience has changed the way I serve and walk with Jesus.“

Sherry
Pastoral Care
Sherry has dedicated her life work to caring for and empowering people to discover their value and worth. She is deeply committed to journeying with people through struggles, hardships and loss in their lives. Sherry believes that everyone has the potential to thrive and by offering a compassionate, supportive environment fosters healing, growth, inspiring change and transformation in lives of individuals, so that they will reach their full potential.
Sherry spent many years volunteering and has been working in not for profit since 2013, advocating for individuals within the broader community, and working to develop self resilience.
Judy
Judy has worked with vulnerable women and children for 15 years. She has had the privilege of seeing lives changed and generational family issues with substance abuse, mental and physical abuse and trauma begin and remain on the road to healing. Judy is experienced in case management, staff management and supervision, program implementation and instruction as well as managing residential housing. Judy’s God given passion is to see the vulnerable safe, loved, educated, and on their individual journeys to freedom and wholeness. She considers it a privilege to have the opportunity to walk alongside people as they journey through life.

Yemisi (Misi)
Trauma Counselor, MA, C.C.C., CPC
Yemisi, often fondly referred to as Misi, is a dedicated therapist honored to be part of the HER Victory community. With a robust background in trauma-informed care, she is passionate about supporting individuals on their unique healing journeys and empowering them to reclaim their strength.
Misi employs a blend of evidence-based practices and a client-centred approach, ensuring that each client experiences a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, valued, and supported. Her commitment to fostering resilience and hope drives her work as she walks alongside clients on their recovery journey.
As a strong advocate for trauma-informed care, Misi is devoted to providing the necessary support and guidance to help individuals thrive. She is excited to be part of the transformative journeys within the HER Victory community.
Kristi
Operational Administrator / Office Manager
Kristi brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership, ministry development, volunteer coordination, and strategic systems building. Known as a “whirlwind of efficiency,” she is passionate about creating order and excellence behind the scenes — so that transformative, front-line work can thrive.
With a lifelong commitment to following God’s call, Kristi has witnessed His faithfulness through both triumph and trial. Her deep belief in the power of Christ-centered community fuels her drive to ensure that every woman HER Victory serves is seen, known, and supported with compassion and advocacy.
